Alexander Manrique has had a passion for cartooning as long as he could remember.

He lives in his hometown of Dover, New Jersey, the same town where he watched cartoons on television as a young child and developed an interest in an art career.

He graduated from Dover High School and went on to the County College of Morris, where he participated in several exhibitions at the school and in the Morris County area. Alexander obtained his Associate’s in Fine Arts in 2015.

Afterwards, he attended The Kubert School, which helped him further his art education using various mediums. However, Alexander had a strong interest in animation, hence, he joined the school’s Animation Club. The team worked on a short film and he focused on digital inking of the storyboards.

Alexander has developed strengths within digital illustration, as well as traditional penciling. Upon graduating from The Kubert School in 2018, Alexander aspires to work professionally as an illustrator, either on a team or as freelance, and create artwork that brings joy to audiences the way it has for him.
